Events and Promotions Coordinator

  • Assist in the coordination and supervision all marketing department special events, including entertainment. Practices the Rising Star Core Values of Commitment, Integrity and Excellence. 

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist the Events and Promotions Manager in the planning and execution of approved events and promotions with emphasis on quality and budgetary guidelines; monitors events to ensure Company objectives have been met.
  • Work closely with the Events and Promotions Manager to ensure all state regulatory requirements are met for promotions and special events.
  • Coordinate purchase and setup of decorations and promotional themes.
  • Assist others to produce support materials for special events and promotions.
  • Ensure promotional literature is properly displayed throughout the property.
  • Assist the Events and Promotions Manager to supervise all operational aspects of special events and promotions.
  • Facilitate dissemination of special event and promotional information throughout the department and property, includes collecting tournament entries, working the pits, etc.
  • Assist the Events and Promotions Manager to maintain files and accurate records of all promotions and special events.
  • Work closely with the Events and Promotions Manager to book, produce, and coordinate all entertainment events on property.
  • Perform the duties of the Events and Promotions Manager when necessary.
  • Provide service to internal and external customers which reflects the company culture of Satisfaction, Togetherness, Appreciation and Recognition. (S.T.A.R.)
  • Responsible for immediately informing on-site IGC Agent on duty, Security and Supervisor on Duty of any Internal Control or State Regulation violations related to gaming activity of which you commit, witness or become aware; must report pursuant to company Self-Reporting Policy.

  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Experience Required:  Two years previous experience in casino marketing or a combinations of experience and education.
  • Education Required:  High school diploma or equivalent, an undergraduate degree in a related field preferred.
  • Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required:  Organizational skills.  Strong computer skills including ACSC programs.  Good verbal communication skills and able to present information in a clear and concise manner.  Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to adhere to company customer service expectations.
  • Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required:  Indiana Gaming Commission Occupational License - Level 2.
  • Other Specialized Requirements:  Knowledge of entertainment production including sound and lighting systems, talent managers and agencies, contracts and related activities.  Knowledge of performance and production fees.  Good negotiating skills.
